Chandler Irvin is a 5th generation native Floridian whose family has lived in Polk County continuously since 1885. He attended the University of Florida on Full Academic Scholarship and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management, cum laude. From there, Chandler attended the Stetson University College of Law on Full Presidential Merit Scholarship, graduating 4th in his class. While at Stetson, Chandler was a member of the Stetson Law Review and served as a research assistant to Professor Charles Rose in Trial Advocacy and to Professor Louis Virelli in Federal Constitutional Law. Chandler also worked as a law clerk for two prestigious Pinellas County Civil Litigation firms, interned for a summer with the Criminal Division of The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, and worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the State Attorney’s Office for the 6th Judicial Circuit.
Chandler was admitted to the Florida Bar in the Fall of 2011. Upon graduation, he served as a staff attorney to Justice Ricky Polston of the Florida Supreme Court. Thereafter, he worked as an associate attorney for an insurance defense firm where he served as counsel of record in more than 2,000 Comprehensive Coverage/Windshield and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) cases statewide.
Chandler, his wife Kelly, and their Mastiff, Duncan, now split their time between St. Petersburg and their home in Seattle, Washington due to the need to be near specialists at the University of Washington, who help treat Kelly’s rare cluster of auto-immune diseases. Chandler and Kelly are avid sports fans and have been fortunate enough to make “Bucket List” trips to see Game 4 of the 2016 World Series at Wrigley Field and Game 2 of the Chicago Blackhawks 2015 Stanley Cup Victory.
Chandler and Kelly proudly support the following organizations and charities and the work that they do to improve our State and communities: The University Athletic Association for the University of Florida, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, The University of Florida College of Health & Human Performance, and The Cleveland Clinic.
